During a new interview, Cynthia Bailey opened up about her thoughts and feelings prior to the RHOA reunion episode taping and the reality TV star made it very clear that it was like getting ready to go into a ‘lion’s den!‘ As fans know, her apprehensiveness was mostly due to her drama with her co-stars, especially NeNe Leakes, and having to face them again.
That being said, the celeb told HollywoodLife that she may have expected the worst going into it but she was still hoping for the best outcome.
The first out of the four reunion episodes aired on April 7.
Cynthia shared with the news outlet that before shooting for it, she had a feeling NeNe would not be very happy to face her either but was not so sure how the other Real Housewives would deal with the drama.
‘I really felt like at the reunion I was going into the lion’s den. I kind of knew how [NeNe] was going to react to it. I knew what I was in for. I didn’t know how they [the cast] felt. I honestly didn’t know what they thought and I was very happy to see that they all received me with love and they had their own issues with her that had nothing to do with me,’ Cynthia told the site.
She went on to say that ‘I am so exhausted about talking about this. I am so about positive affirmation, supporting women, lifting women up. This is such an incredible time for women.’
It makes sense that she was apprehensive about the reunion since the drama between her and NeNe exploded during the last season’s finale so they didn’t get the chance to really discuss the whole thing before the reunion.

Fans remember that NeNe accused Cynthia of knowing but not telling her that nemesis Kenya Moore would also be at her wine cooler release on purpose, something Cynthia has been vehemently denying.
